Chichi, is a Miami based artist rooted in Latin and South American and European influences. She finds her artistic essence in the act of painting.
Hailing from this rich cultural background, her work is an exploration of human emotion, challenging societal constructs with a direct and assertive approach.
Drawing inspiration from bold colors reminiscent of her upbringing, Chichi’s art reflects the influence of her memories throughout her upbringing and challenges and experiences in her life.
She seeks to create a larger, momentary experience—a canvas that reflects not only personal emotion but also the broader emotions embedded in her past and also her present. She uses her paintings as a means to answer the timeless question, “What is art?”
Beyond her paintings Chichi has excelled in the film industry, producing and directing multiple award winning shows and topping it by winning the Webby Award in 2003. This is merely showcasing her versatility throughout her years of creating visual stories.
